Oracle walkathon seeks to support heart surgeries of BPL children: Special arrangementThiruvananthapuram: Oracle India Pvt. Limited, Technopark is conducting its third edition of Heartwalk and Run, a charity event that supports heart surgeries for the poor and needy children below poverty line across India.
The event which will be flagged off by DGP Loknath Behera is being conducted in association with Rotary Foundation and NGO Needy Heart Foundation.
There will be a short marathon with 5 km walk, 5 km run and 10 km run at Technopark and will be conducted on 29 October 2017 at 5:30 AM.
Two thousand volunteers participated in the first edition of the run in 2015 and aided in 23 heart surgeries. In 2016, this figure tripled to 73.
Contributions and donations to this charity event will get 80 G Receipt for Income Tax Deduction.
Registrations are on till October 20 and is open to all.
