Thiruvananthapuram: RM, a leading global supplier of technology and resources to the education sector, has launched the Future Skills Internship Programme for Women as part of its CSR initiative. The programme offers upskilling opportunities to 20 talented women who will receive hands-on experience and mentorship.

The programme has been introduced as part of the golden jubilee celebrations of the organisation. The 50-year celebration coincides with RM India’s 20th anniversary.

"Our Future Skills Internship Programme for Women is a testament to our commitment to diversity and skills development. We believe that by investing in women, we invest in the future of our industry," Gauri Chandra, CEO, RM India, said.

Sanitha Singh, Chief People Officer, RM India, pointed out that the internship programme is a testimony to RM's long-standing commitment to being an equal-opportunity employer. "We have always been keen on providing equitable and fair opportunities to everyone. Our internship program is open to candidates from diverse backgrounds. The interns will receive mentorship and guidance from experienced professionals, enabling them to learn and grow during their time with RM," Sanitha said.

This year, RM will also sponsor the annual tuition fees of 66 students from ecnomically backward families, enrolled in College of Engineering Trivandrum, Infant Jesus School and Juvenile School. Seventeen students studying in the Goverment Lower Primary Schools in Karichara, Pallippuram and Thiruvelloor will receive scholarships under the categories of academic merit, and special education needs. Ten economically disadvantaged students from the coastal belt of Kovalam, enrolled with the Mathew Sally Educational Trust, will receive hostel fees for the year.

The anniversary celebrations in India commenced in July with a host of activities over the last four months. The celebrations concluded with a gala event at the Al Saj Convention Centre, Kazhakoottam, on November 1. RM India CEO, Gauri Chandra; John Baskerville, Managing Director – Assessment, RM Plc, and other members of the executive team in the UK and India attended the event.
