Pala native Roshini Thomas becomes second secretary in Switzerland and Vatican

Roshini Thomas A 2015 batch office, she has served in France and in UNESCO before.

Pala: Indian Foreign Service has no dearth of Keralites in key positions. But the recent posting of Roshini Thomas as India's second secretary in Switzerland and Vatican comes with a unique twist. She is the second person from Pala, Kottayam, to be posted in these countries as India's Diplomatic representative. The ambassador to both countries is Sibi George, another native of Pala.

This is Roshini's second diplomatic posting. Her first posting was at the Indian Embassy in Paris, France. She also worked for India in UNESCO for three months.

During her time in France, she studied French language from Sorbonne University in Paris. She will assume the official charge from the Indian Embassy in Bern, the capital city of Switzerland.

Roshini is married to Abilash, a computer games designer and son of M M Joseph. She is the daughter of Matsyafed official Thomson Davis of Palatti house, Puthenvelikkara, South Paravur. Roshini was congratulated by Bishop Mar Jacob Muricken.
