Sohan Roy, the producer of I.V. Sasi’s proposed movie on Kuwait war, Burning Wells, has said that he will go ahead with the late director’s dream project, just the way he wanted it.
Apparently, Sasi was ready with the Rs 75-crore movie's script and storyline. "The project will be taken forward in the absence of I.V. Sasi and the film will be a tribute to the director," Roy said.
The producer said that he was shocked by the sudden death of Sasi and that Burning Wells was “Sasiyettan's biggest dream”.
The film will be released in English, Arabic and Hindi. Pop diva Shakira's band will be featured in the movie, Roy said. Sasi and producer Sohan Roy had been working on the English-Hindi-Arabic project for three years.
“I was always in love with cinema,” Sasi wrote on his Facebook wall when he announced the project. “It was difficult for me to take such a long break from cinema but I wanted to do what I had in mind if I ever made a comeback. I had in mind a project based on the Kuwait war. We decided to make the movie in Hindi because such a big project would be impossible in Malayalam.”
Sasi was prepping to make a comeback after a gap of almost eight years after the film Vellathooval, starring Rejit Menon and Nithya Menon.

The film will be a tribute to the director I.V. Sasi (L), says Sohan Roy
