Malayalam film actor Mohanlal met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday. Since then, speculations are rife that the superstar will get a BJP ticket to contest the Lok Sabha election from the Thiruvananthapuram constituency.

Slamming all rumours, the actor told Onmanorama that he had briefed the Prime Minister about the social work his organisation has been carrying out. “I just did my work. Since I am not aware of any such political move, I don't want to comment about it. The meeting was scheduled long time back. I met him with regard to a Trust”, he said.
