RS Vimal's Ennu Ninte Moideen based on the real-life story of Moideen and Kanchanamala, which took place in the 1960s in Mukkam, is set to have a spin-off.
The movie, which had Prithviraj Sukumaran and Parvathy essaying the titular characters of Moideen and Kanchanamala, will have yet another version showcasing the socio-political activist Moideen.
BP Rasheed, the brother of Moideen will be scripting the spin-off version while Prithviraj himself will play the lead. The movie with a budget of Rs 7 crore will be produced by BP Rasheed himself.
Talking to Onmanorama, BP Rasheed also revealed that RS Vimal will not be part of the project and who will direct the movie is yet to be finalised.
Tentatively, the movie is expected to reach theatres by March 2017.
