Kerala wicketkeeper-batsman Vishnu Vinod has been roped in by Royal Challengers Bangalore as a replacement for the injured K.L. Rahul in the Indian Premier League.
Vishnu, who hit 16 sixes the domestic T20 competitions, had gone unsold in the IPL auction. The 23-year-old had undergone selection trials in Bengaluru along with Himachal Pradesh's Prashant Chopra, Karnataka all-rounder Pavan Deshpande and Tamil Nadu wicketkeeper-batsman Narayan Jagadeesan earlier this week.
Kedar Jadhav had kept wickets in RCB's loss to defending champions Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL opener in Hyderabad on Wednesday.
