The long wait is over, the scintillating blue sparkling crown, the dream of every Indian model has reached India yet again.
It is after a long hiatus of 17 years that the coveted Miss World title has been bagged by an Indian again.
It was in 2000 that India touched the crown last, and it was none other than our own Priyanka Chopra.
Seventeen years later, at the grand event conducted in Sanya City Arena, China, 20-year-old Manushi Chhillar has won the title again.
The Haryana girl is a doctor by profession.
Born to doctor parents, she did her schooling in St. Thomas School, New Delhi, and is studying medicine at Bhagat Phool Singh Government Medical College for Women in Sonepat.
Manushi is also a trained Kuchipudi dancer, and has trained under legendary dancers Raja and Radha Reddy.
Manushi's father, Dr Mitra Basu Chhillar is a scientist with the Institute of Nuclear Medicine & Allied Sciences (INMAS), Delhi, and mother, Dr Neelam Chhillar is the head of the department of neuro-chemistry at the Institute of Human Behaviour and Allied Sciences.
Manushi, in the final round was asked "which profession deserved the highest salary?", to which a confident Manushi responded "A mother deserves the highest respect. It's not about the cash but the love and respect she gives to someone." She also added that her mother was her biggest confidence.
Manushi was also named as one of the five winners of the 'Beauty with a Purpose' award at Miss World 2017 on 18 November in Sanya City Arena, China.
As part of her 'Beauty with a Purpose' project, Manushi was instrumental in spreading awareness about the importance of menstrual hygiene.
'Project Shakti', her initiative, took her to about 20 villages, making a difference to the lives of 5,000 women.
'Beauty with a Purpose' is a registered charity and a non-profit organization associated with Miss World to raise money for humanitarian projects across the world.
Manushi is the sixth Indian woman to be crowned Miss World after the likes of Reita Faria and Aiswarya Rai.
She clinched the title beating 108 contestants from all over the world.
