Thalassery: A newly inaugurated office of the RSS was vandalized by a 10-member gang on Monday morning.
Both RSS and BJP alleged that CPM activists were behind the attack. The miscreants smashed the windows and destroyed the equipment inside the Kesava Seva Kendram, which was inaugurated on Sunday. They also threatened the women and children at the office.
Meanwhile, a bus shelter in a CPM-stronghold area in the district was destroyed by unknown assailants.
Considering the tense situation, a large posse of police personnel have been deployed in the area.
