Kochi: The young Malayalam actress, who was brutally assaulted in a moving car in Kochi, has said that that she had no business deals with any of the arrested. She also said that she could submit any documents to prove that.

"I have no land deals with any of the accused in the case. There were some personal issues between me and the arrested actor. I had friendly relations with the actor. However, that relationship ended after a few years. Everybody knows that. Other than that I have no business relations with anyone.

"I have never given the name or other details of my assaulters. If the arrested are indeed guilty, they need to be punished. However, if they are innocent, I wish them to see them come out free," she said.

She further said that she had to come out with a statement as many rumors on land deals were doing the rounds.

Actor Dileep was arrested in connection with the actress attack case on Monday. The police had arrested Pulsar Suni, who had worked as a driver of many film personalities, six days after the incident. A letter which Pulsar Suni purportedly wrote to actor Dileep had caused a furore.

Dileep had undergone a marathon 13-hour grilling at the Aluva police club days ahead of his arrest. The actor had approached the police saying that the prime accused tried to blackmail him from jail. Things went awry for Dileep after the police found discrepancies in his statements.

Though Dileep was arrested, the police are yet to identify the motive behind the crime. Sources said that personal enmity is what forced the actor to plot the crime. Dileep, who got married to Kavya Madhavan in 2016, had admitted that he was not in good terms with the actress, who survived the horrific night. The cops plan to quiz Kavya Madhavan and her mother to ascertain whether they knew about the conspiracy.

However, the police do not believe that had any direct involvement in the case, sources said.
