Dinedra Kashyap IPSThiruvananthapuram: There is no room for worry with regard to the progress of the actress attack case, or so implies the statement by DGP Loknath Behera. The DGP was responding to the uproar around the alleged botch-up of the investigation when the 'no-nonsense' officer, IG Dinendra Kashyap, was shifted out as IG, Crime Branch.
According to the DGP, Dinendra Kashyap will stay at the helm of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the February 17 attack on an actress in Kochi. Earlier, then DGP Senkumar had pulled up ADGP Sandhya for keeping Kashyap in the dark about the interrogation of Dileep and Nadirshah post the actor's July 10 arrest.
IG Kashyap has been posted as IG, Headquarters in a recent rejig that saw controversial officer ADGP Tomin J Thachankary being moved out of law-and-order responsibilities and given the charge of Director General of Fire and Rescue Services.
