Thiruvananthapuram: Legendary writer M T Vasudevan Nair has been selected for the ONV Literary Award instituted by the ONV Cultural Academy. The award carries Rs 3 lakh.
Meanwhile, the ONV award for young promising writer has gone to ‘Amma urangunnilla’, a poetry collection by Anuja Akathoottu. It comprises a cash prize of Rs 50,000.
The awards will be presented by chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan at a function to be held at Tagore theatre, said Adoor Gopalakrishnan, K Jayakumar, Prabha Varma, B V Sasikumar and Dr Sreedevi.
