Kozhikode: Thottathil Raveendran will become the new mayor of Kozhikode Corporation. Raveendran, who has served as Kozhikode mayor in the past, got the nod in the CPM district committee meeting on Sunday. The CPM state committee will take the final call regarding this.
The mayor post fell vacant after V. K. C. Mammed Koya resigned after he was chosen as MLA from Beypore constituency in the recent assembly polls.
