Representational imageBengaluru: A Kannada cine artiste has filed a complaint with the police that some of her friends tried to rape her in a car in which they were traveling together.
The actress said the car was stopped in a deserted place where the two friends attempted to subdue her. According to her police complaint, she managed to flee the place and hail a taxi.
The police said the suspects, Praveen and Sachin, are at large.
The actor said she had been receiving calls and indecent messages on her phone for the past two years from an unknown number, but she did not lodge a complaint. Now she suspects that those calls and messages came from the same friends who tried to assault her.
