Kottayam: Malayalee fans of the English Premier League Club Arsenal are on cloud nine. The rap song themed on the club – Indian Gooner – by Arsenal Kerala Supporters Club (AKSC) has become an instant hit across social networking sites.
The 4.28 seconds long music video depicting the journey of a Gunners fan caught the attention football lovers and music aficionados alike after it was shared on Arsenal’s official Facebook account. Acknowledging the effort, the club’s official website has also published a write-up on the video.
The music and lyrics of the song are by rapper Siddharth Madathilkatt who goes by the stage name Mr. SPIN, while the video, which blends the culture and tradition of the land, is directed by Charles Raj.
“We never expected such an overwhelming response from the club officials when we sent them the video,” said AKSC chairman Tony George.
