Guntur: Kerala athletes had a field day on the second day of the inter-university meet here on Wednesday.
Keralites swept the medals in women's triple jump and 400m events. Olympian Jisna Mathew, representing Calicut University, reigned supreme in the 400m with a time of 53.42 seconds. MG varsity's V K Vismaya (53.67) and Jerin Joseph (54.12) took home the silver and bronze respectively.
Aleena Joseph of MG University clinched the triple jump gold with an effort of 12.97m. Kerala varsity's Alphy Lukose (12.72) and Athira Surendran of Kannur (12.67) finished second and third in that order.
Keralite Amoj Jacob, representing Delhi University, clinched the men's 400m gold with a meet record of 46.33. He bettered the record set by Lalit Mathur (47.01) in 2015.
Mangalore University (31) is leading the overall title race followed by MG (24).
