George had surrendered at the Palarivattom Police Station in Ernakulam by Wednesday evening.
He had been driven at breakneck speed from Ernakulam to the capital city, where the police convoy arrived by midnight Thursday.

The court allowed the request of George's lawyer -- advocate Ajith Kumar -- for time to file objections and listed the matter on May 17.
The Ernakulam Palarivattom police booked the leader for the hate speech against a particular community at the Saptaha Yajna event at Vannala Mahadeva Temple.
According to the prosecution, bail was granted to George without hearing its version, which was a violation of the rules.
