Police said the most number of 26 cases was registered in Malappuram district, followed by 15 in Ernakulam and five cases in Thiruvananthapuram.

A number of leaders, including lawmakers of the ruling BJP, have been accused of making hate speeches and some are even facing cases over their utterances.
Dismissing the plea, the bench said the petitioner is at liberty to pursue appropriate remedies.
