State Education Minister V Sivankutty made the announcement regarding the exam schedule on Monday at a press conference.
Even though the education department is planning to conduct the public exams in March, teachers say that they wouldn’t be able to cover the entire portions of class 12 and then conduct the revision by that time.
Classes of higher secondary sections and the English medium classes for class-10 students would be aired from 24 December to 2 January.
There is no clarity about the dates of the SSLC and plus two exams as the focus areas haven’t been finalised.
The Kerala government has allowed 79 additional temporary batches for plus- one courses. The list of the school wise distribution of the batches would be published on Friday, Dec 10
The Kerala government has given the nod to hold improvement exams for plus one-courses for both higher secondary and vocational higher secondary students. The General Education Department has issued an order in this regard.
Calling the school’s historic decision ‘revolution of Madappally’, Minister V Sivankutty said that the education department has approved the recommendation related to this.
The Kerala higher secondary department is reportedly not averse to hold improvement exam for plus-one students who scored low marks in the first-year exam.
The district panchayat has reached an agreement with the education department to ensure gender-neutral uniforms in 48 schools that come under the panchayat.
The applications for the second round of supplementary allotment of seats for higher secondary Plus-One courses could be submitted from Wednesday, Nov 17.
