The Director of General Education has issued an order directing all government and aided schools under the Mid-Day Meal Scheme.
Schools functioning as relief camps in the district will also remain closed. However, the holiday does not apply to pre scheduled examinations.
The order applies to all institutions, including professional colleges, anganwadis, and tuition centres in the affected areas.

The Alappuzha District Collector has declared a holiday on Monday for all educational institutions in Kuttanad taluk and Purakkad panchayat, including professional colleges.
These teachers, all Junior English HSSTs (Higher Secondary School Teachers), lost their positions due to a miscalculation in the post assessment process carried out by the government.
It has also been decided to conduct classes on seven Saturdays during the academic year for high school students, ensuring that six successive working days don’t occur.
