The most offenders who got trapped in the surveillance cameras from 9 am to 5 pm on Monday were from the Kollam district – 4774 people.
The facility to file online appeals will be introduced within two months.

AI camera network initially reported about 4.5 lakh traffic violations daily, but numbers have come down gradually.
Though the govt had clarified the same earlier, an order to this effect is now being issued because sending challans without charging penalties could lead to legal hassles.
As per the department's estimate, before the Safe Kerala project came into effect, the average number of traffic violations per day was 4.5 lakh. Now, it has come down to 2.1 lakh.
