The film marked Prabhas's grand return to the silver screen, after several back-to-back flops.
Known as one of the most accomplished and celebrated filmmakers in Telugu cinema, Maruthi is credited for superhits like family entertainer ‘Prati Roju Pandage’, first ever Telugu horror comedy ‘Prema Katha Chitram’, and romantic comedy ‘Mahanubhavudu’ amongst many others.
Unsurprisingly, the Telugu version of the film has contributed the largest share of the total collections, followed by the Hindi version.
Reports indicate that Salaar garnered an impressive Rs 70 crore on its initial day in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, complemented by Rs 12 crore in Karnataka and Rs 5 crore in Kerala.
During the initial part, Prashanth Neel meticulously establishes Salaar as an unstoppable force, asserting that no one in the country can stop him.
Vijayakumar added that ‘Neru’ is expected to do good business, but the exhibitors can only determine if the film requires more screens once the film releases.
Amidst the buzz surrounding 'Salaar,' discussions have been ablaze due to a release reshuffle.
Drawing a comparison to the series 'Game of Thrones,' Prithviraj expressed, "He is one of those huge stars who are delightfully unaware of his own stardom."
Hombale Films describes Salaar as an "extraordinary tale of rebellion filled with power-packed action and impactful music.
The film will be released in theatres on December 22, 2023.
