Nexon is a case study in compact SUV. The vehicle is hardly four meters long but it is already giving the bigger SUVs a run for their money.
Nexon belongs to the future. It is a definite head turner. The interior is straight out of a European classic. The SUV offers comfort of travel on all seats. There are plenty of reasons to go for Nexon, including technical brilliance, driving comfort, a vast network of service centers and to top it all, a much lower price tag.
Novelty on display
You can use your smart watch to open the doors and even start the vehicle. The head lamps are so smart that they can light up a curve as you turn it. The music system, phone and other features are ready to perform as per your verbal orders. Nexon is a worthy successor to Tiago.

The chromium lines highlight the majesty of the honeycombed big grills. Projector head lamps and daytime running lamps add to the look.
X factor

The muscular bumper, wheel arches and body lines are also present on the rear side. Perhaps Nexon is the only SUV with coupe-like styling that flows to the rear, making it more sportier.
The interior design is majestic in straight lines. The harmony of black, chromium, piano black and silver finishes is irresistible. The 6.5 inch touchscreen infotainment system on the dash, complete with a reverse camera, resembles a Mercedes or BMW.

Automatic climate control, rear AC vents, the Harman music system with eight speakers, glove box, central console with secured storage space and a niche to keep your umbrella are some of the features Nexon has to offer. Brings to mind a Skoda luxury or Rolls Royce? You said it. The boot space is 350 liters.
Tata Nexon | Photo: Anand AlantharaThe Revotron 1.2 liter petrol engine and Revitorq 1.5 liter diesel engine power the Nexon models. The four-cylinder diesel engine comes with 110 ps and 200 nm torque. The three-cylinder petrol engine has 110 ps and 170 nm. Nexon has a six-speed gear box.
The SUV is a confidence booster for the driver. The vehicle performed uniformly along the stretch from Kochi to Kulamavu, be it the rush hour of the city or the hairpins on the high ranges. The SUV has eco, city and sport modes. ABS, EBDS and airbags ensure safety.
