Actor Jipsa Beegum who plays a significant role in the Omar Lulu directorial Oru Adaar Love is the latest victim of online abuse. The actress’s morphed pictures are being shared widely on social media.
Jipsa, who is also seen in the viral song ‘Manikya Malaraya Poovi’, stated that she would take the legal course in this matter to see that those who spread her morphed pictures on the Internet ends up behind the bars.
In a lengthy message posted by Jipsa on her Facebook page, she says that she has been part of the Malayalam cinema since the last two years either as an executive producer or an actor, and warns that grave punishments await those who shared morphed pictures of hers on various obscene WhattsApp groups.
She wrote, “I am posting this message with the clear knowledge that I am not the very first victim of a cyber crime. Controversies don’t bother me and I have a personality of my own. So you all should see this post as a protest to that person or persons who have been insulting me, sitting in the virtual world of the Internet. I just have one thing to say to that person who morphed my face onto a headless obscene picture that you shouldn’t take out your frustrations on common people like us.”
Jipsa stressed that she has decided to take legal action against the person who has spread her morphed pictures online. She ‘warned’ that the person may even be ‘handled’ physically by the Kerala police who investigate the case. Jipsa sarcastically added that the culprit should get himself a lucky charm from Attukal Radhakrishnan, the renowned astrologer, to save himself from the thrashing that awaits him.
“To those who enjoy those pictures thinking that those are mine, you shouldn’t forget that the Chinese phones won’t be as good as the real iphone,” wrote Jipsa
Jipsa says, “To all my FB friends, you shouldn’t go to any obscene WhattsApp group to see my pictures. I thank all my friends and well wishers who support me and stand with me through all struggles.”
Jipsa Beegum added that she would definitely raise her voice against the injustices in society, even though she is snubbed and insulted for it. “I wouldn’t quit, and let me make one thing very clear. If I have to hit someone then I wouldn’t hesitate to do that,” Jipsa concludes her Facebook post.
