The tale of Pooja Dadwal, the actress who once shared screen space with Bollywood superstar Salman Khan in the 1995 movie Veergati and her present state of penury and illness is an example.
Pooja, who couldn’t find success in movies, had worked with a casino in Goa. Life then took an unfortunate U – turn for this former actress when she was diagnosed with tuberculosis.
She is currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Mumbai and made desperate attempts to convey her plight to her former co-star Salman Khan and to seek help to meet the expenses at the hospital.
She told a major publication in Mumbai that she came to know she was having tuberculosis six months ago and that she had tried to contact Salman Khan for help, in vain.
The actress said that she was penniless and had to depend on others even for a cup of tea. In a video shot from the hospital bed, Pooja said that her finances and health are in ruins and requested Bollywood star Salman Khan for help. Pooja sent the video to the screen icon in which her plight is shown.
Pooja hopes that her video would definitely move Salman Khan and the actor would offer help.
Pooja Dadwal had also worked in films such as Hindustan and Sindoor Saugandh.
