Karthick Naren, director of the blockbuster Tamil film Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru, has unleashed a direct attack on ace filmmaker Gautham Vasudev Menon alleging ill treatment by the latter.
It was Karthick Naren who, in a reproaching tweet, first hinted about his unpleasant experience while he was engaged in the making of his first film Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru.
"Sometimes a misplaced trust may kill you. People should think twice before taking it for a ride. The last thing you want to see is your passion getting butchered from all the directions for a mistake you did not commit..." Karthick had tweeted.
It was in response to this tweet that the Gautham Menon made a sarcastic comment citing an animated short film Dear CSK created by a team of youngsters.
"While some young filmmakers whine about their passion getting butchered instead of growing a pair, here’s a young team that makes an interesting short about girls, women, cricket, CSK and liberation," Gautham Menon tweeted.
Karthick reacted quickly and tweeted: "...we were treated like trash & made to invest on our own. I think its better to whine & confront instead of running away..."
Karthick Naren shot to fame after his directorial debut, Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru, a path breaking crime thriller, turned out to be an all out box office success and was critically acclaimed.
