Robinson will be playing the role of a villain in the upcoming campus movie.The film Sudani from Nigeria was one of the major hits that Malayalam has given recently. The success story of the movie and the controversies related to the Nigerian actor Samuel Abiola Robinson has made the actor a familiar face across Kerala.
However, nothing much was heard of Abiola since he returned to his home country and a payment row with the producers was amicably settled.

The movie titled Purple is directed by Dr. Parthasaradhi, who had earlier made the Telugu film, Kanchanamala Cable TV released in 2005.
The film stars Vishnu Vinayan, Vishnu Govind, Rishi Prakash, Marina Michale (Paipin Chuvattile Pranayam fame) and Niharika among others.
The music is composed by 4 Musics and Charu Hariharan (singer Arundhati's daughter) and the lyrics are by BK Harinarayanan.
The film is produced by Karthikeyan Cinemas and the shooting will be completed in various locations in Kozhikode and Coimbatore.
