Vayalar Rama Varma Samskarika Vedi Film-TV awards were announced on Wednesday. Su Su Sudhi Vatmeekam won the award for the best film while its director Ranjith Shankar was adjudged the best director. Jayasurya bagged the the best actor award.
Priyanka Nair, for her performance in Jalam, won the award for the best actress. Kaviyoor Ponnamma and Nedumudi Venu were honoured with Chalachithra Ratna Award and Vayalar Kalashreshta Award, respectively.
Mazhavil Manorama's popular show D4 Dance won the award for TV programme.
Ramachandra Babu won the award for overall contribution while violinist Balabhaskar got the award for young music talent. Neerav Bavlecha bagged the award for young talent.
Music director M Jayachandran and actor Prof Aliyar will be felicitated at the prize distribution ceremony to be held at Thiruvananthapuram in July.
