After much delay, Tamil movie Bhaskar Oru Rascal will hit the theatres on Thursday. The remake of Malayalam film Bhaskar the Rascal will see Arvind Swamy and Amala Paul coming together on screen for the first time.

Directed by Siddique, who also helmed the original film starring Mammootty and Nayanthara in the lead, this film has music composed by Amrish.

Earlier, Siddique revealed that he planned to keep the essence of the original Malayalam film and incorporate more action scenes for the Tamil version. There were reports that Siddique had plans to role Ajith and Rajinikanth for the lead role but eventually it was Aravind Swami who was chosen.

While Tamil audiences are expecting a classic comedy entertainer, Malayalam movie buffs are eagerly waiting to see how well Aravind Swami pulls off the role which was played by Mammootty in Malayalam.

According to FDFS reports, here's what works and what doesn't:

Plus

> Light-hearted entertainer

> Aravind Swamy's swag appearance

> Amala Paul looks georgeous as a trendy cool and new-age mom

Minus

> A plot without logical reasoning

> Slapstick humour

> Too many unwanted characters just to bring comic scenes
