A diamond heist, three villains, three wannabe young men, three pretty 'sanskaari' daughters and a dad who, contrary to the Bollywood mindset, does not want his girls to get married. Throw in an ex-don who returns from the jail and flies all the way to London on a mission. Add a dash of stupidity, some mumbo jumbo that passes off as Hindi, some lowbrow jokes, a couple of scenic locales and you have Housefull 3.

So, after watching the movie, I thought, it was just a fair deal to warn you about what to expect and how to survive the movie. My list and excuse the spoilers ahead.

♣The cast

The third in the franchise, Housefull 3 has an ensemble cast. Boman Irani is a shipping magnate Batuk Patel, his three daughters, Ganga (Jacqueline Fernandez), Jamuna called Jenny (Lisa Haydon) and Saraswati who is called Sarah (Nargis Fakhri), are not allowed to marry. But the girls are hopelessly in love with Sandy (Akshay Kumar) a football fan who suffers from a multiple personality disorder and transforms to become Sundi, Bunty (Abhishek Bachchan) a rapper, Teddy (Riteish Deshmukh) a racer. And between Akshay Kumar, Boman Irani, and Jackie Shroff – you get all the genuine fun moments that will make you laugh out loud.

♣ The mumbo jumbo

If you are a fan of 'sudh Hindi' this movie will be an assault on your senses. But, if you are willing to 'thandi waali dawa kha lo,' which means to take a chill pill, that is, you may laugh out loud, ever so often. And trust me, for a couple of seconds, I was baffled when one of the heroines mouthed the words 'Bahar Latakte Hai' , which in this context meant 'Let's hang out.' You get the drift, right?

♣ The game of three

The writer – director duo have tried to concentrate on the number 3. Three heroines, three losers, sorry, lovers and three villains who have absolutely so little to do. Add in three black maids at the shipping magnate Batuk's house (not being racist here, but they have important roles). Was the number three given so much of importance because this is the third in the franchise? I am not sure. And I truly felt sorry for Nikitin Dheer, Samir Kochar and Arav Choudhary, the villains who have very less to do, thanks to the script.

♣ Exotic locales and the women

The girls have nothing much to do other than mouthing mumbo jumbo, wear skimpy clothes and dance in every single song number. But then, when you go for a movie like Housefull 3, you have to be prepared for this eventuality, right?

♣ A sneak peak at Madame Tussauds

The movie is set in London, you see the Big Ben and you see Madame Tussauds – and the wax statues of Rajnikanth, Amitabh Bachchan, Jackie Chan and Brangelina on different occasions. It is the climax scene that gives you moments to laugh out loud – cliched, yes, but you have to be totally blind to miss out the humor. Especially when Abhishek Bachchan says that the fight has just 'got personal'.

Even after watching the movie from start to the end, what I really missed was a story line. I have absolutely no clue to what director-writer Sajid-Farhad team was trying to say in this two-and-quarter hour sequel.

I wish I could 'unsee' some of the scenes in the movie like 'taang uthake' song. But then, I strongly feel that movies like Housefull 3 should come with the tagline 'leave your brains at home, and just enjoy what is doled out'. After all, I love trashy movies too.
