Plot: Set in 2016 BC, amid the ancient Indus Valley civilization, an indigo farmer from Amri, Sindh named Sarman (Hrithik Roshan) travels to a city, Mohenjo Daro, where he saves the life of a beautiful woman named Chaani (Pooja Hegde) during a street mishap. Sarman develops feelings for Chaani who, as per the culture of Mohenjo Daro, is "the symbol of Mother Sindhu's grace and blessing". Meanwhile, Sarman falls afoul of the city's politician Maham (Kabir Bedi) and his son Moonja (Arunoday Singh) who are trying to seize power and have evil plans to rule Mohenjo Daro as an empire. How Sarman wins Chaani's heart and defeats Maham, therby saving the people and the city, forms the crux of the movie.
Positives: With breathtaking action and romance, Mohenjo Daro will entertain you. The beautiful sets and mesmerising songs are the highlights.
Negatives: Although the screenplay is strong, the first half might bore you in parts. Too much emphasis on action scenes.
