Kalidas Jayaram, who makes his entry as a hero in Malayalam with this film, is the soul of the song. The song with shades of melancholy and nostalgia has Kalidas reminiscing about life.
For the second video song of Poomaram, Abrid Shine has once again trusted his young brigade to weave magic with the lyrics and music. While Kochi-based young poet Ajeesh Dasan is the lyricist, debutant Leela L. Girikkuttan is the music director of the song. Though visually impaired, Girikkuttan has not let his disability be an obstacle while chasing his dreams.

The 'Njaanum Njaanumentaalum' track, released in November last year, is special to Maharaja's College in Kochi as it is a song that is passed down generations. Poomaram, written and directed by Abrid Shine, was mainly shot on the college campus.
