UGC-NET exams postponed; to be held from Sept 24

New-look NET is on and it's online

New Delhi: The UGC-NET exams, that were scheduled to begin from Wednesday (September 16), have been postponed. The NET exams will now be conducted from September 24 onwards.

These were postponed as the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) exams are also scheduled to be conducted on the same dates.

The National Eligibility Test (NET) was earlier scheduled to be held from September 16 to 25. However, uncertainty prevailed as the admit cards for these NET exams were not issued even by Monday.

Normally, admit cards for the National Testing Agency (NTA) exams are issued 15 days before the exam.

The ICAR exams will be held on September 16, 17, 22 and 23.

NTA senior director Sadhana Parashar said that some candidates were appearing for both exams and hence the NET was postponed.

Other details of NET would be issued later, she added.
