Kochi: As the investigation into the sensational actress attack case progresses, the name of another Malayalam actress has cropped up.
The police are probing the huge amounts of money deposited in the bank account of the young actress, who is said to have friendly relations with Dileep. The actress has acted with Dileep in two movies.
But as the money was deposited after the brutal attack on February 17, the police could question her soon.
February 17 attack
Dileep was arrested on July 10 for plotting the February 17 attack. The police have claimed that the conspiracy to assault the actress and film the act was hatched by Dileep and Pulsar Suni, the prime accused in the case.
In their remand application, the police had also claimed that Dileep had a grudge against the actress for letting his then wife know about his alleged affairs and had hatched a conspiracy to take revenge way back in 2013.
The actress, who has worked in Tamil and Telugu films, was abducted and harassed inside her for two hours in a moving car in Kochi. Six people, including Pulsar Suni, were arrested soon after the crime.
The Kerala High Court Monday rejected the bail plea of Dileep, lodged in Aluva sub jail.
