People – young and old, covered every inch of the road. All the rooftops, balconies and window were taken. People from across the state and some even from outside the God's country had turned up early to book the best spot. Not a single red/blue bus was in sight and even the ever-present auto-rickshaws were surprisingly missing. The famed MG Road of Kochi had literally turned into an ocean of humanity, brimming with energy and excitement about the imminent arrival of a diva.
Slowly, making its way through the high-octane crowd was a white car. It couldn't do much to break the human chain and out came Bollywood diva, Sunny Leone, setting off a wave of sorts through the Kochi's heartland.
People cheered, waved and squealed in disbelief as she slowly walked up to the shopping complex where she was to make an inauguration.
The actress too appeared taken aback by this unprecedented display of love and admiration by the people, who had turned up in hundreds and thousands. She too waved and shouted out 'thank you' as the crowd exploded into a rapturous applause.

As if the crowd's show of energy on the streets was not enough, her ardent fans took over social media, flooding it with memes. The most popular one was a collage which showed the crowd gathered at Trump's and Obama's inauguration in the US, and the ecstatic crowd at Sunny Leone's event in Kochi.
Though this is the star's second visit to the state, the Kochi crowd ensured that the second time around was more memorable.
Thursday would have been a normal, in other words, boring day in Kochi. Leading politicians, with the sole exception of P.C. George, kept their mouths shut and even the sensational actress attack case did not throw up any major shocks. If anything, the star's visit did make Kochi see the sunny side up.
Cheero!
