Poonjar: Independent Kerala legislator P.C. George is known for his foot-in-the-mouth moments. The Poonjar MLA, who finds his place in the media frequently with his controversial remarks, was in news this time after he chose to display his driving skills on a rare occasion.
George on Friday chose to inaugurate a road in his constituency by driving nothing less than a bus. However, the MLA's adventurous move ended up on a comic note as he realized that getting down from the bus was not as easy as driving it. George had to wait until someone brought a plastic chair to step down from the driver's seat.
The road in the eighth ward of Erumely panchayat was built as per the directive of the MLA. As soon as the road was ready, the route was allotted for bus services as well.
The crowd was elated to see their MLA at the wheel and cheered him on.
