A day after pro-Dileep statements, Sreenivasan's house 'blackened' Sreenivasan house in Koothuparamba, Kannur

Kannur: A day after veteran Malayalam actor Sreenivasan made pro-Dileep statements, miscreants splattered black oil on the walls and courtyard of his house in Koothuparamba Sunday morning.

The actor had on Saturday said that he did not think Dileep had done anything wrong. Interestingly, Sreenivasan made the comments hours after the Kerala police moved the court against K.B. Ganesh Kumar, MLA, for supporting Dileep, who was arrested for plotting the February 17 actress attack.

Talking to Manorama News Sunday, Sreenivasan said, “When you say making pro-Dileep statements will influence the witness, it should be pointed out anti-Dileep statements will also mislead them. So how can you bar only the people who make supporting statements?”

“Also, I did not make any statements against the police or the probe. I merely said that as someone who knew Dileep for so long, I don't think he would commit such a heinous crime,” he clarified.

However, the actor refused to accept that the 'black-oil' attack on his house had anything to do with his stance on Dileep.

“But whoever did this to our house could have poured oil all over the building, it would have saved me some painting expenses,” the actor quipped in his inimitable style.

Sreenivasan's friend Vinod lives at the house called 'Vineeth', named after his elder son.

Dileep was arrested on July 10 in connection with the abduction and assault of the young actress in Kochi on February 17. The police had arrested Pulsar Suni, who had worked as a driver of many film personalities, six days after the incident.
