Malappuram: PV Anwar MLA, facing allegations of land grab and other irregularities in the construction of his water theme park, said he has refrained from responding to the charges since he was warned against it by the Left Front leaders.
In a Facebook post, he said it has now become essential to speak up to the people as a one-sided hunt was going on against him.
From the post:
“It is hard to open up as the Kakkadampoyil park and the Cheenkannipali reservoir issues are pending before the court.
“The organized conspiracy against me started after the stunning victory in Nilambur, and the allegations have followed”, he wrote.
“The new allegation is that I robbed someone of Rs 50 lakh, promising a partnership in the crusher in Karnataka. I have never met the complainant. Neither have I received any advance notice. I have no direct connection to any of these businesses. A complaint was directly filed in court with the intention of maligning me. Allegations will be confronted legally”, Anwar wrote.
