Muvattupuzha: The Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau has filed a charge sheet before a court here saying that the former public works secretary T O Sooraj holds unaccounted assets worth Rs 11 crore.
The Vigilance, which examined details of the financial transactions carried out by Sooraj from 2004 to 2014, said his assets had grown 314 per cent during the 10-year period.
The Vigilance had earlier informed the Lokayukta in 2016 that Sooraj’s assets amounted to three times his declared income.
Among his possessions are luxury apartments and land holdings at several places in Kerala and Karnataka, according to the report submitted by Vigilance. Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi, Idukki and Thrissur districts are where Sooraj owns property in Kerala, said the report.
Other assets include a godown and surrounding land in Kochi and six high-end cars.
