33 from Kerala clear civil service exam, Chennithala's son in list

Thiruvananthapuram: As many as 33 candidates from Kerala have won the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) examination 2017, the results of which were announced on Friday evening. Hyderabad candidate Anudeep Durishetty won the first rank.

Sikha Surendran from Ernakulam, who won the 16th rank, tops the list of Keralites who passed the examination.

Anjali S (rank 26), Sameera S (28) and Hari Kallikkat (58) are the other Keralites in the top 100. Of the 29, 17 are men.

Congress leader and leader of opposition in Kerala Assembly Ramesh Chennithala's son Ramit Chennithala won the 210th rank.

Other winners from Kerala are: Hari Kallikkat (58), Sathish B Krishnan (125), Susree S (151), Madhavikutty M S (171), Abijith R Shankar (181), Vivek Johnson (195), Muhammad Junaid P P (200), Uthara Rajendran (240), Anjana Unnikrishnan (382), Saddam Navas (384), Reghu M (390), Radhika Suri (425), Anand Mohan (472), Ihjas Aslam C S (536), Muhammed Shabeer K (602), T K Vishnu Pradeep (604), Devaki Niranjana (605), Irshad C M (613), Ali Aboobacker  T T (622), Rehna R (651), Amal N S (655), Chitra Vijayan (681), Ajmal Shahzad Aliyar Rawther (709), Afsal Hameed (800), Jithin Rahman (808), Navin Sreejith U R (825), Neenu Somaraj (834), R Arjun (847) and Ashwin S (915).

As many as 990 names were recommended for appointment to Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service, Indian Police Service and Central Services, Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’. The main exam was conducted on October 28, 2017.
