Telugu actress Sri Reddy, who created a storm by shedding her clothes in public as an act of protest against the sexual abuse faced by actresses in Tollywood, has come out with more revelations. During her public protest, Sri Reddy had alleged that the son of a senior producer had sexually exploited her. Now, the actress has named Abhiram Daggubati, brother of actor Rana Daggubati and son of producer Suresh Babu, as the person who had abused her. The actress made the charges during a discussion in a TV channel.
Though the actress did not name Abhiram initially, she revealed that it was he who had cheated her later in the discussion. Sri Reddy also released photos showing the actress and Abhiram together. The actress said that Abhiram had sexually abused her promising roles in films. Other film personalities against whom Sri Reddy raised allegations include Allu Arjun, Nani and director of ‘Fida’ Sekhar Kammula.
Sri Reddy came up with the charges soon after she was denied membership in MAA (Movie Artists Association), an organization of Telugu film stars. Meanwhile, MAA president Sivaji Raja said that film personalities cooperating with Sri Reddy would face severe action.
Sri Reddy had disrobed herself in front of the office of Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce after her request for membership in MAA was not considered even after acting in three films. She had also alleged that gender discrimination was rampant in Tollywood.
