He had crossed the track unaware of an approaching train, which pulled up close to him as he tried to climb on to the platform.
When authorities questioned him, he claimed that he was travelling in a metro train for the first time and he did not know how to cross the platform using an escalator or foot-over bridge. Later the authorities fined him.
News agency ANI tweeted this video. It was not known when the incident happened.
