Manorama News reported that the police have been considering taking Shine to a drug de-addiction centre in Kolencherry.
The cops grew suspicious after they spotted the name of Shine on the hotel register.
The actor has been asked to appear before the probe team on April 21 or 22.
Shine, accompanied by his lawyers, reached the station around 10 am and will be questioned by the Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP).
Health officials said the illness reportedly followed the consumption of home-cooked food.
The petitioner has sought directions from the court to ensure that the temple premises are used only for religious purposes.
Earlier in the day, a video surfaced online reportedly showing Shine escaping from his hotel room when police launched a surprise anti-narcotics raid on Wednesday night.
This ruling stemmed from a petition filed by an individual appointed as Deputy Transport Commissioner.
The High Court has also directed the Interim Board of Settlement to submit, in a sealed cover, the names of individuals mentioned in its findings related to Income Tax proceedings against CMRL.
