The present hurdle has been caused due to the reluctance of some of the big private hospitals in Thiruvananthapuram to join the scheme.
The KEAM exam, which was originally scheduled for June 12, had been postponed on account of its clash with other examinations.
There are currently 14,838 people under observation across the state. Of them, 14,412 are under home or institutional quarantine while 426 are in hospitals.
The minister's statement comes amid Kerala government's efforts to launch a national campaign touting the SilverLine project as a symbol of Kerala's development model.

When the DPR was submitted for clearance in November 2020, the NITI Aayog had raised doubt whether the project would cost Rs.1.25 lakh crore.
K-Rail authorities said that SYSTRA, the agency which prepared the DPR, dealt with transportation sector and was no expert in financial matters.
Prakash Babu, the assistant state secretary of CPI, blamed government officials for the mess. 'Why are some officials displaying haste to implement the project? Their intentions are suspect,' he said.
Pinarayi claimed after the meeting that the PM was sympathetic to the state's demand for sanctioning the K-Rail project.
K-Rail Limited is maintaining that it has neither discussed nor given any direction about the manner in which markings are to be made as part of the survey.
