Among the 155,538 applicants, 40,712 candidates qualified for admission. Last year, the pass percentage was 29.54%. Interestingly, this year, the cut off marks for qualifying the exam was lower than last year’s.

In the newly introduced system, there will only be 120 questions from Maths in the first paper and 72 questions in Physics and 48 questions Chemistry in the second paper.
The candidates would get an idea about the position that they might get in the rank list by analysing the last rank scored in various departments.
