Estimates reveal that the state has taken up to 17,000 tonnes less rice and 400 tonnes less wheat than allotted by the Centre.

In a bid to ease a few of the ration shop dealers travails the Kerala Government has put on hold the earlier decision to not to supply foodgrains to the ration dealers on credit.
