Kaveri was dragged for 100 metres by the vehicle as the accused tried to flee the scene.
CCTV visuals showed she was thrown off the ground under the impact and she fell face down a few feet away.
The deceased has been identified as Reena Sam (43), while the injured are retired CSI Bishop K G Daniel and his wife.

Police suspect the deceased to be a 58-year-old man who went missing on Sunday morning.
The driver Sujith, a native of Palakkad, was taken into custody.
