Kerala film industry leaders emphasised resolving issues internally and fostering unity for a stronger future.
Actor and president of the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA) stated that the organisation will collaborate closely with the Kerala Film Producers' Association to enhance working conditions for those involved in the film industry. She made the remarks during a meeting of the Producers'
The actress won the Kerala Film Critics Award for Best Actor (Female) for her role in 'Theatre: The Myth of Reality', but media questions centered around organizational matters.
She said she would address the issues of women within the industry.
Shwetha Menon emphasised the association's commitment to investigating complaints and ensuring the well-being of all members.
The agenda is expected to focus on addressing longstanding internal conflicts and laying the groundwork for the association’s future direction.
Shwetha also addressed concerns about the organisation’s membership fees, which some actors have called exorbitant.
When approached by the media with questions regarding the elections, Bhavana said she was unaware of the developments and may respond at a later stage if necessary.
He explained that senior actors like Mohanlal, Mammootty, and Suresh Gopi didn’t join AMMA for film roles.
A source close to the association noted that some absentee members historically never vote.
