The University of Calicut and Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) have postponed the exams scheduled on 27 September as a general strike (hartal) has been called on that day.
The online computer admission test will be conducted on June 12, 13 and 14.
Several students had earlier refrained from applying to CUSAT as its common admission test and the National Defence Academy's exam were scheduled for the same day.
The North Indian students staged a protest against the decision, claiming that such a pooja was performed in the campus last year with the permission of the college authorities.
Over 200 student delegates from various schools and colleges across India participated in the second edition of the mock UN session held on the main campus of CUSAT from September 20 to 22.
