An FIR under sections 376 (rape) and 506 (criminal intimidation) has been registered against the actor at the Museum Police station.
As per the FIR, Siddique raped the woman at the Muscat hotel here in January 2016.
The actor e-mailed her complaint to the state police chief.
Siddique is a respected colleague and a good friend of mine in the artistic field, she said.
